2. The Lighting

Many dining rooms come with giant overhead or chandeliers that does not do anything but make the room seems flat. So it is a good idea to install a dimmer switch so you can set line lighting for the dinning activities, daily used or for party.

It is a good idea to track lighting along the walls, sconces or a couple floor lamps can help soften and direct the light in the room. It will keeps the dining room free of that overhead blast of light and lets you control the mood of the room battery, making it bright for birthdays and soft for a holiday meal.

3. Add decorations to the walls.

It is often, the dining room gets almost any art that is left over from other rooms or once you finish the bedrooms and living room.It is a  better idea to look for new art that accentuates and supports the room’s needs. A lovely still life or a tapestry with a nice arrangement of flowers will add beauty and style to the room. You may also opt for a historical tapestry, or even a modern one, if you gravitate toward a more modernistic approach to your dining room furniture. The main idea is don’t forget to choose art that is suitable with your dining room theme.

Finally, don’t forget to change the color or the theme of the walls. The room should be warm and inviting. Never paint your dining room with pure white that will ruin the mood.   Choose a darker a darker palette with a white ceiling or white baseboards and trim that will make the room seem very much larger.
